FOUR ACQUIN Assessors from Germany made an offline visit to the University of Bengkulu for doing international accreditation assessment of dozens of study programs in eight faculties around UNIB. Arriving at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport Bengkulu on Saturday afternoon, at 14.00 PM local time, the four Assessor Teams were greeted with batik besurek.


“Welcome to the land of Rafflesia,” said Vice Rector for Students Affairs of UNIB Dr. Candra Irawan, S.H., M.Hum. and Secretary of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development of UNIB Hendy Santosa, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. when welcoming the Assessors team of ACQUIN, while draping a batik besurek scarf, a typical Bengkulu calligraphy cloth on each team member.
The Deputy Chair of the Information Documentation and Management Division PPID UNIB, Esti Pasaribu, S.E., M.Ec.Dev. and the Deputy Head of Information Technology, Complaints, and Information Dispute Resolution PPID UNIB Mohammad Nur Dita Nugroho , S.T., M.Sc. also accompanied the vice rector for welcoming the distinguished guests from Germany.
The four Assessors team of ACQUIN who visited UNIB directly were Jasmine Rudolph, Robert Raback, Clemens Bockmann and Sandra.


Visits in the context of international accreditation of dozens of study programs at UNIB are scheduled for November 14-25, 2022. Before going to UNIB, the four guests from Germany were invited to do heritage tourism, visiting a number of historical tourist objects in Bengkulu City, (On Sunday (11/13/2022).
As one of the efforts to improve the quality of education, research and community service in encouraging the realization of superior universities, UNIB aims at conducting international accreditation of dozens of study programs. 81 study programs in eight faculties around UNIB; 69 doctoral degree study programs (S-3),Postgraduate (S-2) and undergraduate (S-1) levels will be accredited by the international accreditation agency ACQUIN. Then, institutional accreditation is also carried out which includes 2 bureaus, 3 institutions and 5 Technical Implementing Units.
Various preparations have been done by each study program, including a field visitation simulation which was carried out for 6 days, from 7 November 2022 to 12 November 2022. The activities were coordinated by the Vice rector for Academic Affairs of UNIB, Prof. Dr. Mochamad Lutfi Firdaus, S.Si., M.T. and the Quality Assurance Division of LPMPP UNIB also presented the Secretary of the Yogyakarta State University (UNY) Quality Development Center Dyah Setyowati Ciptaningrum, M.Ed, Ed.D. as resource person to provide experiences and share perceptions related to international accreditation.

ACQUIN (The Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) is listed in EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education). EQAR is an international standard accreditation, certification and quality assurance institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 83/P/2020 dated January 24, 2020.
