“This morning at the Hero’s Day ceremony we all held a moment of silence to pay respect to the National Heroes. Nowadays, after going through various stages of preparation for the big and historic activity for UNIB, which is ACQUIN, let’s pray for this in hope that it will run smoothly and successfully as expected, “said the Rector, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, S.E, M.Sc.

ACQUIN was attended by 56 study programs from 81 study programs in eight faculties in UNIB, Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral levels, except for vocational studies programs. This international accreditation is UNIB’s effort in improving the quality of services including the Tri Dharma of Higher Education; Education, Research, and Community Service, as well as implementing higher education internationalization programs and encouraging the realization of Excellent UNIB.

“Let’s increase our commitment, work together actively and try our best to make the first international accreditation successful which will be history for UNIB in the future. Besides trying, of course, we also have to pray. Therefore, in this recitation which has become our tradition, let us pray that our hopes and aspirations will be achieved,” said Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri.

After listening to the rector’s direction, the recitation program was filled with a religious lecture by Lecturer at the State Islamic University (UIN) Fatmawati Soekarno Bengkulu, Ustadz H. Ahmad Farhan, S.Si, M.Sc. In his lecture, Ustadz Farhan gave appreciation to UNIB which will carry out international accreditation. But He reminded us, no matter how busy the activities or celebrations are held, as human beings we must always be grateful for all the blessings that Allah SWT has given us. One form of our gratitude is to perform the five daily prayers.

“Of course, I also understand that efforts to improve the quality of higher education through international accreditation carried out by UNIB are not an easy job, it requires high commitment and good cooperation from all UNIB academics. However, no matter how busy we are, we still have to pray five times a day, be grateful and pray that the efforts made are blessed by Allah SWT and the dream of realizing UNIB Unggul can be achieved, “said Ustadz Farhan, ending his tausiyah by leading a prayer together.
