The Indonesian Economic Scholars Association (ISEI) held its XXIII Plenary Session and National Seminar at the Mercure Hotel, Bengkulu City, Friday (15/9/2023). This activity was attended by the Governor of Bank Indonesia Dr. Perry Warjiyo and two Deputy Ministers, namely the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Suahasil Nazara and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Alue Dohong.
Perry Warjiyo followed this activity as General Chair of the ISEI Central Management who provided the ISEI Central Management accountability report at the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session, as well as opened and became the main speaker at the 2023 ISEI National Seminar. This seminar carried the main theme “The Role of ISEI in Strengthening Synergy for Resilience and Economic Awakening Towards Advanced Indonesia.”
Two Deputy Ministers became resource persons from four speakers at the 2023 ISEI National Seminar which was hosted by Kompas TV Journalist Timothy Marbun as Moderator. The two Deputy Ministers each brought up the sub-themes “National Policy Synergy” and “Realizing Sustainable Economic Development.”
Meanwhile, two other ISEI national seminar speakers, namely Deputy Ministry of Investment/BKPM of the Republic of Indonesia Nurul Ichwan presented the materials with the sub-theme “Strengthening Real Sector Transformation” and President of PT. Visionet International (OVO) Kharaniya Dharmasaputra with the sub-theme “Accelerating Digital Economic Inclusion.”
Arriving at Fatmawati Airport, Bengkulu City, Friday morning, the Governor of Bank Indonesia and two Deputy Ministers were warmly welcomed by the rector of UNIB, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri as Chair of ISEI and Coordinator of ISEI West Region and Governor of Bengkulu Dr. H. Rohidin Mersyah, MMA. Also present were elements of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompinda) of Bengkulu Province, the Head of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) of Bengkulu Province, the Head of Bank Indonesia Representative of Bengkulu Province, the Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Head of the Director General of Bengkulu State Treasury.
Two important agendas, namely the ISEI XXIII Plenary Session and the 2023 ISEI National Seminar, were run successfully and this activity succeeded in formulating a number of important things related to the big theme being promoted, namely “The Role of ISEI in Strengthening Synergy for Economic Resilience and Revival Towards an Advanced Indonesia.”
“I really appreciate and thank the Rector of UNIB who collaborated and synergized with Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Representatives, The Financial Services Authority, and other related parties who have presented the ISEI 2023 forum in Bengkulu. “Hopefully this meeting of hundreds of economists from various regions throughout Indonesia can make a big contribution to the resilience and revival of the national economy and especially the regional economy of Bengkulu Province,” said the Governor of Bengkulu, Dr. Rohidin Mersyah when delivering his speech at the ISEI National Seminar.
Not only was the National Seminar successful. The Regional Seminar activities in the series of the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session which were held in a separate room at the Mercure Hotel, Bengkulu City were also successful. This Regional Seminar carries the theme “Synergy to Encourage an Inclusive and Sustainable Economy of Bengkulu Province.”
The resource persons presented at the ISEI Regional Seminar were experts and competent parties in their fields, namely the Head of Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Representative Darjana, Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat of Bengkulu Province for the Economy and Development Yuliswani, Head of the Special Audit Department for Financial Supervision of Carbon Exchange Derivatives and Securities Transactions Khoirul Muttaqien, Head of PPA II Division of Regional Office of DJPb Bengkulu Sunaryo, and Vice Rector II of UNIB for Resources affairs Yefriza, S.E, MPPM, Ph.D as Deputy Chair of ISEI Bengkulu and trusted as Chair of the local level Organizing Committee for the XXIII ISEI Plenary Session and seminar in 2023.[Writer : Purna Herawan/Public Relation Division].
