The information and Communication Technology Development Centre (ICTD) is a newly formed body based on the Regulation of Minister of Education and Culture Number 63 2013 about the Organisation and Work Procedure of University of Bengkulu. This body was formed on 7th of June 2013.
ICTD’s main task is to implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate information and communication technology developmental programs.
Before the Regulation of Minister of Education and Culture Number 63 2013 on 7th of June 2013 about the Organisation and Work Procedure of University of Bengkulu applied, ICTD is used to be known as the Information Communication and Technology Center (ICTC) of University of Bengkulu. This body was inaugurated on 27 October 2009 based on Rector Decree Number 10369/H.30/HK/2009 with its own main function as the provider of Information and Communication Technology service and well-networking access for all UNIB stakeholders.
Every Work Unit in University of Bengkulu, either in the main campus located in Jalan WR. Supratman or outside campus area located in Jalan Cimanuk (Elementary School Education Study Programme of Faculty of Education) and Air Sebakul (Sport and Health Education Study Programme of Faculty of Education) has been connected through both local area network (LAN) and (WLAN). The network in the main campus for LAN uses fiber optic (FO) and airlife which is for the units or locations that are unable to access the FO.
