The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the University of Bengkulu (FMIPA Unib), is strengthening its international cooperation with the University of Central Punjab (UCP) – Pakistan through a lecturer exchange program that will take place in the even semester of 2025.

This agreement is outlined in a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed online by the Vice Rector for Planning and Partnership Affairs at Unib, Prof. Dr. Irfan Gustian, S.Si, M.Si, and the Pro Rector of the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Prof. Dr. Hammad Naveed, on Wednesday (February 19, 2025).
In addition, the Dean of FMIPA Unib, Prof. Dr. Sal Primayudha S, S.Si, M.T, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology UCP, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, also signed this MoA. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Vice Deans, staff, and lecturers who will be involved in the exchange program.

As part of the implementation of this collaboration, FMIPA Unib will send four lecturers to UCP-Pakistan to participate in academic activities. Conversely, UCP-Pakistan will also send four lecturers to FMIPA Unib. These lecturers come from the fields of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
The four lecturers from FMIPA Unib who will depart are Ramya Rachmawati, Ph.D, Dr. Devi Ratnawati, Dr. Elfi Yuliza, and Dr. Risky Hadi Wibowo. Meanwhile, the four UCP-Pakistan lecturers who will carry out the program at FMIPA Unib are Dr. Muhammad Rayees Ahmad, Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, Dr. Muddasir Ali Shah, and Dr. Namrah Anwar.



“If there are no obstacles, this program will run from March to April 2025. We hope that this program can improve the quality of teaching, support the achievement of the institution’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and provide valuable experience for lecturers and students,” said the Dean of FMIPA Unib, Prof. Sal Primayudha.
Prof. Irfan Gustian expressed his appreciation to UCP-Pakistan for this strategic partnership. He emphasized that this collaboration is based on a shared vision of achieving academic and research excellence in each institution. “Hopefully, this collaboration can bring positive impacts, encourage innovation, and strengthen academic growth and development for both universities,” said Prof. Irfan Gustian.
