United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and leading cloud service provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) and PT. Data Sinergitama Jaya Tbk or Elitery collaborated by launching the TALENTA Program to strengthen the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. This program involves 20 universities in Indonesia, one of which is the University of Bengkulu (UNIB).


The TALENTA (The Acceleration of Indonesia’s Transformation to a Digital Economy by Improving Digital Talent) program is a new partnership to support universities in initiating the Information and Digital Literacy Movement. The goal is to produce 60,000 work-ready graduates from 20 universities, as well as 100 digital start-up companies.
UNIB’s involvement and collaboration in the TALENTA program is stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UNIB and PT. Sinergitama Jaya Tbk or Elitery data. This MoU was signed directly by the Rector, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, S.E, M.Sc and Director of Elitery Indra Dwi Putra, in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Integrated Services Building (GLT) UNIB, Tuesday (12/9/2023).


Not only the MoU, but on the same occasion an IA or Implementation Agreement (Program Implementation Agreement) was also signed between the Director of Elitery, Indra Dwi Putra, and some Deans and heads of faculties around UNIB.
The MoU and IA TALENTA Program signing event was also attended by Farhad Ghaussy as Office Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Kurniawan Wiraatmaja as a representative from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Ahmad Gilang from Elitery who explained about the TALENTA Program.
The day before, Monday (11/9/2023), facilitated by the Head of Partnership and International Services (UPT KLSI), Ade Sri Wahyuni, Ph.D., representatives of USAID and Elitery had an audience with UNIB leadership in the Rector’s office. Each party agreed to carry out cooperation and make UNIB one of the 20 universities implementing the TALENTA Program.


For UNIB itself, the TALENTA Program not only aims to increase the information and digital literacy movement and prepare graduates who are ready to work in the digital field, but also to accelerate the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU), especially IKU 4 (four) regarding Teaching Practitioners on campus.
“We welcome this TALENTA program. This program is not only useful in terms of increasing information and digital literacy on campus and preparing skilled graduates who are ready to work in the field of digitalization, but also accelerates IKU achievements and is useful in encouraging the realization of a Superior UNIB,” said Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri.

After signing the MoU and IA, each party exchanged souvenirs and held a group photo session. Furthermore, in the event which was broadcast live streaming on the YouTube UNIB, Elitery, represented by Ahmad Gilang, gave a short explanation about what the TALENTA program is.
Ahmad Gilang explained that TALENTA actively supports the university’s efforts in initiating the Information and Digital Literacy Movement. “This movement aims to provide training, provide students with an understanding of cloud computing technology, as well as open up insight into the use of technology and job opportunities in the cloud computing field,” he said.



AWS Educate’s Introduction to Cloud 101 training is an educational initiative designed to support understanding and use of AWS cloud services. In each session, students gain an understanding of the basic concepts of cloud computing, a highly valuable competency in the digital technology industry.
Through this initiative, TALENTA aims to make a meaningful contribution in forming a generation that is ready to face challenges in the era of information technology that continues to develop.
The TALENTA program, added Ahmad Gilang, will strengthen the digital economic ecosystem in Indonesia by producing 60,000 work-ready students from 20 universities and accelerating the development of 100 digital startups.


The TALENTA program, supported by Rumah Siap Kerja (RSK), Elite Academy, Inspigo, and Creatella, focuses on two activities.
