University of Bengkulu again held graduation for graduate, professional, undergraduate and vocational programs. Since the participants were quite numerous, the 85th of 2018 graduation was held for two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, 28th and 29th August 2018 at Gedung Serba Guna (GSG).
This event was officially opened by Rector of UNIB, Dr. Ridwan Nurazi, M.Sc and was attended by the chairman and members of senate, professors, deans of UNIB, the leaders of partner banks, and thousands of graduates’ parents came from various regions in and outside Bengkulu.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Lizar Alfansi in his report explained, based on Rector’s Decree of UNIB Number 1859/UN30/HK/2018 on August 28th 2018, the number of graduates in the 85th period of 2018 was 1,712 people.
The details number of graduates per level of education are 4 graduates of Doctoral Program, 229 graduates of Master Program, 16 Professionals, 1.022 graduates from Undergraduate Regular Program, 63 graduates from Undergraduate Non-Regular Program, and 378 graduates from Vocational/Diploma Program.
With the increasing number as many as 1.712 graduates in this graduation, the total graduates of UNIB are 52.627 consisting of 15 Doctoral graduates, 6.921 Master graduates, 35.650 Bachelor graduates, 81 graduates of Professional program and 9.960 graduates of Vocational/Diploma.
Of 1.712 graduates, on Tuesday, August 28th of 2018, there were 935 graduates of four faculties: 524 graduates from Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), 99 graduates from Faculty of Law, 264 graduates from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), and 48 graduates from Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FKIK) .
While on Wednesday 28th August of 2018, there were 777 graduates consisting of 216 students from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), 224 graduates from Faculty of Agriculture (FP), 283 graduates from Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and 54 graduates from Faculty of Engineering (FT).
“Congratulations to all graduates and we say thank you to the community, parents who have entrusted UNIB to send their children to school,” said Prof. Lizar Alfansi.
The inauguration was conducted directly by Rector of UNIB, Dr. Ridwan Nurazi, M.Sc, marked by transferring toga’s pigtails from left to right, towards the representative of the graduates followed simultaneously by all graduates.
Based on the data, the number of graduates who got “Cumlaude” in the 85th period graduation was 24 graduates for Master Program (S2), 83 graduates for Undergraduate Program (S1) and 49 graduates of Vocational/Diploma Program.
The best “Cumlaude” graduate for Master Program (S2) was achieved by Vera Octalia, Agribusiness Study Program, Concentration on Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agriculture with GPA of 4.00. For Bachelor Program, the Best Graduated with “Cumlaude” was achieved by Khadijah Ayu Komala Devi, Public Administration Study Program, FISIP, with GPA of 3.96. And for the Vocational/Diploma Program, Sundari Mayang Albarusyi Sihaloho, English Study Program, FKIP with GPA of 3.97.
While the Youngest Graduate is Cici Minarti Sagala. She was born in Jakarta, October 20th, 1998, currently 19 years and 10 months 9 days, Mathematics Education study program, FKIP, with GPA of 3.60. Cici Minarti is the daughter of Bontor Sagara and Lenti Sitanggang.
At this graduation period, UNIB also welcomes the return of Lecturers who have completed Doctoral Program. They are Dr. Roosemarina Anggraini Rambe, SE., MM., Specialization in Public Economics from UNPAD, Bandung; Dr. Abdul Rahman, M.Sc., Specialization in Genetics, Ecology and Evolution from The University of Nottingham, UK.
Then Dr. Iwan Setiawan, M.Sc, Specialization in Quantum Dynamics from ITB, Bandung; Dr. Bambang Parmadie, S.Pd., M.Sn., Specialization in Cultural Studies (Musicology) from Udayana, Denpasar; Dr. Nurmeiliasari, S.Pt., M.Sc.Ag., Animal Husbandry Production and Technology Science from IPB, Bogor; Dr. Ir.
