In essence, UNIB will establish a Center of Excellence related to Geotechnical Hazard and will collaborate with the Center of Excellence in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering (CEGGE) Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
It was informed that Dr. Heri Suhartoyo and Dr. Lindung Zalbuin Mase met Prof. Dr. Suched Likitlersuang and Prof. Dr. Teerapong Senjuntichai.
Prof. Dr. Suched is the Head of the CEGGE-Center of Excellence in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering (CEGGE) and Prof. Dr. Teerapong is the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Dept. of Civil Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
Dr. Lindung Zalbuin Mase is currently also conducting collaborative research with Prof. Suched. This research was supported and received support from LPPM UNIB.
“The research we collaborate with is to propose a liquefaction vulnerability mapping method that refers to the main parameters of liquefaction determinants, namely pore water pressure due to earthquake load from seismic wave propagation analysis results from the finite element method,” said Dr. Heri Suhartoyo.
This method, he said, has previously been intensively developed by Dr. Protected Zalbuin Mase with Prof. Suched Likitlersuang (Chulalongkorn University) and Associate Professor. Tetsuo Tobita (Kansai University).
“Currently, the vulnerability zoning process is ongoing. In the future, the liquidity vulnerability zoning in Bengkulu region will be known and become a reference in spatial planning and areas in Bengkulu City, “he explained.[Hms1/KSLI].
