DEAN of Faculty of Law of University of Bengkulu, Prof. Dr. Herawan S, SH, MS in the last few days visited Netherlands. In addition to discuss the development of law internationally with a number of experts, he also established partnership and signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the head of faculty and the center of law studies in the renowned university in the Netherlands.
“I am still in the Netherlands for the next few days to discuss with a number of international law experts. At the same time this visit is also to strengthen partnership between Faculty of Law of UNIB (FH UNIB) with faculty and legal study center at several universities in the Netherlands, “said Prof. Herawan, Tuesday (15/05/2018).
Explained by Prof. Herawan, so far two universities in the Netherlands agreed to establish cooperation with FH UNIB, School of Law Erasmus University Rotterdam and School of Law Leiden University. This cooperation concerns in the field of human resource development and joint research, and mutual partnership in other fields.
Memorandum of understanding of partnership with Erasmus School of Law-Erasmus University Rotterdam was signed by Prof. Dr. Fabian Amtenbrink as Vice-Dean, and MoU with Leiden Law School-Leiden University was signed by Prof. Dr. Joanne van der Leun (Dean).
“MoU of FH UNIB with School of Law Erasmus University Rotterdam and School of Law Leiden University has been signed. I am also still exploring to other universities, because there are more universities that have invited us to cooperate, “said Prof. Herawan.
Implementation of this partnership could be done in the form of double degree / joint-degree for both law degree and master degree (LL.M), exchange student and exchange faculties, joint supervision and visit researcher, tailor-made short courses both at Campus of FH UNIB and partner universities in the Netherlands, and so forth.
Visiting abroad and signing a memorandum of understanding agreement with several universities in several Asian and European countries are being intensified by the head of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) and other faculties in UNIB.
