Tim of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) and the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), visited UNIB to follow up and assess the establishment of UNIB’s Education Hospital, Monday (11/12/2018).
The team consisted of Abdullah M Al Shoaibi and Yaser A Albakri from SFD. Then, Choiruddin, Dyah Kartiningdyah, Nurmala Fauzan, Fathiya Ilmah Hardiyanti, Noviyanita Wanarti from the Directorate General of SDID and Bureau of Program Planning and Budget of Higher Education. Then, Wiwien Apriliani, Rizki Bagastari Hupito, M. Fadhil Dwijatmiko, Kalihputro Fachriansyah, Doddy Tri Hardiyanto, and Eftin Ula Kurnia from Bappenas RI. As well as, Muhammad Irfan and Dini Mulyasari from DJPPR of Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.
Arriving in Bengkulu on Sunday afternoon, the team immediately reviewed the planned location of the establishment of UNIB’s Education Hospital in Padang Harapan area (former Provincial Health Polytechnic) and land near the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) at Kandang Limun.
Monday morning, the team visited the rectorate building and was received directly by Rector of UNIB Dr. Ridwan Nurazi, M.Sc, accompanied by Vice Rectors. Continue to held a meeting in the meeting room of three, rectorate building with the internal team of UNIB to discuss, assess and revise the proposal for the establishment of UNIB’s Education Hospital.
The plan to establish the Education Hospital has been initiated since a few years ago to support the teaching and learning process and research for lecturers and students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of UNIB, as well as to provide health services to the people of Bengkulu Province and its surroundings.
This plan received a positive response from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) of the Republic of Indonesia. However, due to unclear funding sources, the plan has not been realized to date.
With the visit of SFD Team, Bappenas, Kemenristekdikti and the Ministry of Finance, the plan to establish the UNIB’s Education Hospital enters new stage and most likely to be realized soon, with funding sources, one of which comes from the contribution of the Saudi Government to Indonesia through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Loan.
